According to the provisions of Federal Law No. 273-FZ “On Education in the Russian Federation” of December 29, 2012, school holidays are planned periods provided to students for rest. This time is also recommended to be used for various activities (excursions, hikes) and children’s participation in educational programs. The long-standing practice of establishing 4 types of vacations - for each season - continues to be successfully applied today. At the same time, amendments regularly made to the Education Law as part of the ongoing educational reform may be intended to somewhat change the established system.

Today in the Russian Federation the practice of establishing periods of school holidays is being tested. educational institutions. At the same time, attributing this issue to the competence of schools requires officials to provide advisory deadlines. Thus, legislators plan to evaluate their own methods for calculating and establishing optimal periods of study and rest, correlating them with modern conditions training. Thus, Russian schools do not receive a mandatory school holiday schedule, and paragraph 6 of Part 3 of Art. 28 of the law allows managers educational institutions independently set their deadlines (with the exception of Moscow schools).

It will be possible to talk about the pros and cons of such an innovation after a while, but one serious drawback is already being actively discussed by both parents and the expert community: the lack of a unified schedule for all schools makes useless the activities carried out by the traffic police and aimed at reducing injuries to schoolchildren (formerly the Attention program , children!” were traditionally held on holidays common to all).

School holidays in quarters and terms

Experts from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation annually bring recommendations on vacation dates to the heads of educational institutions. For 2017-2018 academic year For schools operating according to the traditional quarter scheme, the following schedule is proposed:

  • autumn holidays – 10.28.2017-11.6.2017;
  • winter holidays– 12/25/2017-01/09/2018;
  • spring break – 03/24/2018-04/2/2018;
  • summer holidays – 05/25/2018-09/1/2018

The Ministry recommended supplementing school holidays for first-grade students with another 9-day period - from 02/17/2017 to 02/26/2017. As in the case of the main schedule, schools have the right to independently make decisions on establishing the main and additional dates for school holidays.

The increasingly popular modular teaching mode, which provides for a “5+1” schedule (five weeks of study, one week of rest), is mostly practiced in metropolitan schools. For them, officials also developed their recommendations and proposed establishing rest days during the following periods:

  • 10/7/2017 – 10/15/2017;
  • November 18, 2017 – November 26, 2017;
  • December 30, 2017 – January 9, 2018;
  • 02/17/2018 – 02/25/2018;
  • 04/07/2018 – 04/15/2018;
  • May 25, 2018 – September 1, 2018

When drawing up a vacation schedule, specialists adhere to several unspoken rules that are designed to create a more convenient schedule for study and recreation. As a rule, the last Monday of the month is chosen as the first day of the next vacation, which allows:

  • “seize” weekends, thereby increasing the rest period for schoolchildren;
  • do not “break” weeks and do not allow short-term (2-3-day) study periods;
  • provide teachers with a more comfortable schedule for writing curriculum.

Autumn holidays 2019

In the current academic year, schoolchildren from most educational institutions in the country will be offered a holiday in the fall from October 28 to November 6. This period includes 4 official days off, which will provide excellent respite for teachers.

New Year's winter holidays in 2019

In the 2017-2018 academic year, it is recommended that schoolchildren be offered 2 weeks of rest during the New Year holidays. Moreover, thanks to the inclusion of weekends, this period will be not 14, but 16 days and, as is customary, will cover not only New Year, but also Christmas. This period also coincides with the long “vacations” provided for by the official production calendar, which means that parents of schoolchildren will have the opportunity to relax with their children. Let us remind you that additional holidays should be provided for first-graders this academic year - approximately from February 17 to February 26, 2019.

Spring school holidays 2019

Similar to the autumn holidays, in the spring schoolchildren will also be able to rest for 9 days in a row - from March 24, 2018 to April 2, 2018. In addition, the total number of school days at this time of the year will be reduced due to additional days off caused by public holidays. As a result, you will not have to attend school:

  • March 8,
  • May 1,
  • May 8-9.

Summer school holidays

Summer is traditionally completely at the disposal of schoolchildren, and in the current academic year, most of them will go on vacation from May 25th. For some, the first days of summer vacation will be associated with exams, or even with graduation celebrations. But one thing remains the same: students in grades 1-10 will have to start studying only after 97 days of rest - on September 1.

Autumn holidays for schoolchildren in 2019

The recommended dates for the autumn holidays of the 2017-2018 academic year will be communicated to the heads of Russian educational institutions in the spring of 2019. Following the generally accepted method of establishing the autumn holiday period, it can be assumed that the holidays will last from October 28 to November 5.

Vacations are the most favorite time for students. And even those who left the school a long time ago remember the times of rest with a cheerful smile. Both students and their parents are looking forward to a break in the educational process, but they are looking forward to the autumn break - the very first - with special impatience.

When will the rest begin?

Many students, and their parents, notice that in different educational institutions the autumn holidays fall on different times. The reason for this discrepancy is the teaching process adopted in each particular school. The academic year can be divided either into four parts - quarters, or into three - trimesters. At the end of each part there must be a short break. The 2018-2019 academic year is no exception.

For quarterly schools

The minimum time allotted for rest in the fall is one week. Schools prefer to start their holidays on Monday and end on Sunday. This facilitates the process of distributing the load, plus it helps schoolchildren adapt more easily and get involved in their studies after a break.

As a rule, in institutions with a quarterly education system, the first holidays occur in October, most often in the last week of the month. The autumn holidays 2018-2019 will not be an exception - the holidays will begin on October 29. But with the start date of the second quarter, some questions may arise.

The fact is that during the autumn holidays of the 2018-2019 academic year, National Unity Day falls - an important public holiday, and therefore a general day off. It is celebrated on November 4, Sunday. According to the transfer law holidays The day off will be the day after the holiday – Monday, November 5th. Thus, the holidays are extended by another day, and instead of seven days, schoolchildren will rest for eight. And if we add to this the official weekend before the start of the holiday - Saturday October 27 (if the school has a five-day period) and Sunday October 28, then schoolchildren will have nine or even ten days off in the fall.

Let's summarize:

  • Autumn holidays in 2018-2019 – from October 29 to November 5 inclusive.
  • The last day of school in the first quarter is October 26 or 27. The second quarter will begin on November 6.

For schools with training in trimesters

With trimester training, calculating the start of the break is somewhat easier. In this process, rest time and study time alternate with enviable regularity: four or five weeks of study are followed by a week off. That is, a short break in the middle of the trimester and rest at the end of the trimester. It may seem to some that with such a training system there are more days off than with a quarterly system. In fact, the total rest time in both systems is almost the same - the difference can be literally a couple of days.

Pupils trimester system will be able to relax twice in the fall - at the beginning of October and at the end of November.

  • Autumn holidays 2018-2019 in the middle of the trimester - from 8 to 14 October
  • Autumn holidays 2018-2019 at the end of the trimester - from November 19 to 25.

School plans: study and recreation

How is the schedule made? school year? Why does the study break fall on a different date every year? Is it really impossible to once and for all stipulate in school rules strict dates for the first and last days rest, so as not to ask the question every year, when will the rest begin? Let's try to figure it out.

The school administration ultimately determines the time period during which the break in studies occurs. This right is assigned to educational institutions at the legislative level. The reason is simple: schools do not always have the opportunity to follow the curriculum “from start to finish,” clearly following every letter and every number written in the documents. In fact, sometimes force majeure circumstances occur, due to which plans have to be adjusted during the training process. Accidents (for example, a sewer or heating pipeline break), natural disasters (severe frosts or rains that threaten flooding), a state of emergency in the region, disease outbreaks (flu quarantine, for example) - there can be a lot of reasons. And in order to ensure that the educational process does not suffer from force majeure, schools are given the right to change the schedule - reducing or postponing the start and end dates of quarters or trimesters.

Before the start of the school year, the Ministry of Education issues an order indicating the total duration of study time and rest time. Thus, in 2018-2019, a total of at least 30 days are allocated for vacations. And regardless of whether training is conducted in trimesters or quarters, students in all schools in the country will have to rest for at least a month for the entire year (not counting the summer break).

Vacations in the 2016-2017 academic year

  • Autumn holidays in the 2016-2017 academic year will begin on October 29, 2016 and end on November 6, 2016. The duration of the autumn holidays 2016 will be 9 days.
  • Winter New Year holidays in the 2016-2017 academic year will begin on December 24, 2016 and will last until January 8, 2017. The duration of the winter holidays will be 16 days.
  • Spring break in the 2016-2017 academic year will begin on March 25, 2017 and will last until April 2, 2017. The duration of spring break will be 9 days.
  • Summer holidays in 2017 will begin on May 27, 2017 and will last until September 1, 2017.

Additional holidays for first-graders may be introduced from February 18 to February 26, 2017. In addition, students in Russian educational institutions will have days off on February 23, 2016, March 8, 2016, May 2, 2016, and May 9, 2016.

It is also necessary to recall that vacation dates are only recommended by the Ministry of Education, and the final decision on the dates and duration of vacations rests with the teaching council of educational institutions.

Additional holidays or rescheduling of holidays in schools and other educational institutions are possible for the following reasons:

  • Low air temperature- minus 25 degrees Celsius for primary school; minus 28 degrees - for high school; minus 30 degrees for students in grades 10 and 11.
  • Low temperature in classrooms. At air temperature in classrooms Lessons below +18 degrees are prohibited.
  • Quarantine and exceeding the morbidity threshold. Quarantine can be declared in a separate school, a separate district, city or region if the epidemic incidence threshold of 25% of the total number of students is exceeded.

Vacations for students in the 2016-2017 academic year

There are significantly fewer vacations at universities, namely, students rest only in winter and summer. It is difficult to find out the exact schedule, since each university assigns them depending on the sessions. If we talk about winter holidays, then the holidays begin at the end of January and end in the second week of February. In the summer, everything also depends on the session and practice, which can be scheduled for June, which is why it will be possible to go on vacation only in July. Also, the practice may be postponed to August, and the holidays will begin in mid-June. Everything depends on the specific university, therefore, in order to carefully plan your vacation, it is better to first ask representatives of the administration of the Higher Educational Institution. The only thing that can be said for sure is that the holidays should not be less than 6 weeks.

Full physical and mental development for children involves alternating periods of intense work and rest. The first is embodied in the form of a saturated educational process, and the second is during the holidays, which all schoolchildren, regardless of class and age, look forward to with great impatience! After all, it’s so nice to forget about the “granite of science” for at least a week and indulge in happy idleness, playing games with friends and relaxing with your parents.

Information about what days holidays are planned in Russian schools is of interest not only to students, but also to their mothers and fathers, because this is the only way to monitor the process of correcting low grades, plan periods of family vacation, trips to visit grandmothers, and participation in competitions.

Vacations help schoolchildren take a break from the difficult educational process!

In addition, during the holidays, students in grades 9 and 11 can schedule more visits to tutors in order to intensify the process of preparing for the national exam. Let's find out what news schoolchildren and their parents can expect on the 2018 school calendar, and also try to find out when the holidays will take place.

Innovations in the 2017-2018 academic year

Today, there is an established scheme in Russia, according to which the Ministry of Education issues a document with recommendations regarding the duration of working hours and rest periods. The main requirement of the Ministry for the management of public school institutions is that the holidays begin on the first day of the week, i.e. Monday. Otherwise, the department’s recommendations can rather be classified as a guide to action, rather than an order, since the final decision is made by the pedagogical council.

There is now talk of reviving the norms that existed in Soviet era– Some officials believe that holidays should be held centrally, and not in a way that is convenient for the management of schools in different regions. This practice will help simplify the holding of all kinds of Olympiads, creative competitions and competitions, because all students taking part in such events will be free at the same time.

Many believe that holidays in the country should be centralized

A survey was recently conducted in Moscow offering parents, students and teaching staff schools in the capital, choose one option for spending the holidays that is acceptable to them:

  1. Continue the practice of the classic process of organizing vacation time, which consists of dividing the school year into four quarters with short autumn, winter and spring break and long holidays in summer.
  2. Divide school time into three terms and make the holidays longer.
  3. Divide the year even more fractionally - into five parts, between which there will be four vacation periods of 6-7 days each.

The structure of the academic year in terms of alternating workload and rest will not change - all the proportions recommended by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health will be observed: schoolchildren will rest for 34-35 days (excluding summer), and work the rest of the time. However, none of the proposed options managed to get a majority of votes, so the issue of organizing vacations for the 2017-2018 academic year remains open, and each school can choose vacations by trimester, module or quarter.

Without taking into account summer, schoolchildren will have 34-35 days off per academic year.

Holidays when working on quarters

The exact dates of the holidays have not yet been determined, however, from the practice of past years, the following forecast can be made:

  • autumn holidays will take place from October 28, 2017 to November 6, 2017;
  • fun days of winter holidays will take place from 12/25/2017 to 01/9/2018;
  • spring break will take place from March 24, 2018 to April 2, 2018;
  • summer holidays will begin on May 25 or June 1, 2018.

In addition, first-graders and children studying in special education classes usually receive an additional week of rest during the February frosts. It can be predicted that in the new academic year it will be February 17-26.

Holidays with a modular system

For schoolchildren who study according to a modular system, that is, 5-6 weeks that end with a seven-day vacation, the forecast for the distribution of vacation time can be presented as follows:

  • autumn holidays will most likely take a week from 10/7/2017 to 10/15/2017, and then another week from 11/18/2017 to 11/26/2017;
  • winter holidays will fall from December 30, 2017 to January 9, 2018, the second winter holidays will take place from February 17, 2018 to February 25, 2018;
  • spring holidays will continue from 04/07/2018 to 04/15/2018;
  • Summer holidays will take place as usual.

The issue of providing additional mini-vacations for first-graders remains within the competence of directors and teaching staff.

School management may give first-graders a mini-vacation

It is also worth saying that today schools in the Russian Federation can independently decide how many days in a week will be allocated for the educational process, that is, determine a five-day or six-day regime. Recently, until all-Russian directives have yet been issued that would need to be complied with in a mandatory manner, most schools have decided that it is better to work according to traditional system 5 days after 2, so that the students are not so tired.

The most anticipated period in 2017 for all schoolchildren is the summer holidays. However, not only children, but also adults are waiting for them: we all dream of getting away somewhere in the warm month, relaxing, and changing the environment. For the younger generation, changes of this kind also couldn’t come at a better time. Modern pressures at school do not allow us to experience the lightness and freedom characteristic of childhood throughout the year. That’s why the kids are looking forward to the summer so much so that they can have fun, swim and sleep during the remaining nine months of school.

Summer holidays 2017 - schedule

When will summer holidays begin for schoolchildren in 2017 in Russia? In this article you will learn about the terms and schedule of holidays in the Russian Federation during the specified period.

It should be noted that summer holidays begin from the last Friday of May – from last call at school. In 2017, the last school Friday falls on May 26th. Therefore, the summer holidays will begin from the very next day. Thus, the timing of summer holidays in the Russian Federation is from May 27 to September 1, 2017 .

Who sets the dates for summer holidays in 2017

Each educational institution in Russia reserves the right to change the start and end dates of the academic year depending on its own characteristics. Traditionally, the academic year begins on September 1, and this is the date that most educational institutions adhere to, not only in our country, but also in many other countries. It is noteworthy that September 1 in 2017 falls on the last working day of the week – Friday. Few schools, lyceums and gymnasiums will decide to start classes on this date. Therefore, the summer holidays will most likely be extended by as much as three days, and classes will begin no earlier than September 4, Monday.

Recreation for schoolchildren during the summer holidays 2017

According to the rules established by Russian legislation, during the summer period schoolchildren must rest for at least 90 calendar days.

Why was such a long period of time chosen specifically for summer period, and not, say, winter, when it is especially cold, or spring, when most diseases worsen? The answer lies in ancient times, when decisions were only made about the construction of training time. During times church schools Initially, the guys studied all year round. But later it was noticed that in summer time Children are less likely to attend school, because they spend a lot of time helping adults (previously, every person who could help with everyday life or working in the field was worth his weight in gold). Therefore, in order for children to be less distracted from the school process, during periods of particularly active sowing, as well as during the period of caring for and harvesting the harvest, children were allowed not to attend classes at school. Later this period was called summer holidays and introduced to the level state norm, with which we are all familiar since childhood.
