History of creation

The Military Academy was founded on November 8, 1919. Candidates for admission to the Military Academy of Communications can be citizens of the Russian Federation with an average general education who have passed a medical examination and are found fit to study at a university, as well as have passed preliminary professional selection.   • persons from 16 to 22 years of age who have not completed military service in the ranks of the RF Armed Forces;

At the same time, the Academy's scientists are creating fundamentally new technical solutions aimed at creating effective means of communication. In 1921, the Presidium of the Supreme Economic Council decided to establish “an experimental telephone broadcast at Bologoye station and at two terminal points “Moscow-Kremlin” and “Petrograd-Smolny”. Academy scientists played a special role in the pre-war years and during the fighting in Finland.
